A paid review of one workflow, ending in a production decision your leadership can defend
We help leaders find out whether an AI enabled workflow is ready for production, and what must be true first: the gaps, the accountable owners, the controls and the measures of success. One workflow, 2 to 4 weeks (most first reviews take 2 to 3), senior people, no platform to sell.
For COOs and owners of Ohio companies of 50 to 500 people. One Vertical Tier, Inc. is based in Columbus.

Getting ready on your device.
Vera is an AI. By default she picks one of the answers the OVT team wrote in advance, matched to your question in your browser. A model that writes a new answer works only from those written answers, also in your browser, and can make mistakes. Either way, what you type stays on this device. If you use the microphone, your browser's speech service turns your voice into text. Please do not share confidential information here.
One workflow, one decision
How a focused review of one workflow gives your leadership a production decision it can defend.
The film is being finishedA paid, fixed scope review of one workflow that matters
We look at how one workflow actually runs today, measure it on your own recent cases, and work out what the systems, data, owners and controls would need to be for it to run in controlled production. Your leadership gets a readiness determination, the priorities that need executive attention, and a recommended next decision.
It covers one workflow, not the whole company. We work with the systems you already have, we are vendor neutral, and we do not recommend a predetermined platform. Typical starting points: an RFQ that takes a week to quote, a quality exception that waits on three signatures, an intake packet that comes back incomplete.
It fits when
- A promising initiative is stalled between pilot and production
- Accountability for the operational outcome is unclear
- The workflow crosses teams, systems or functions
- Leadership cannot yet defend the next investment decision, and the cost of getting production wrong is plain
Evidence your leadership, risk and audit teams can use
The workflow today
Systems, data, ownership and dependencies, with the friction, failure points and control gaps marked on a current state map.
Measured baselines
Operational and financial baselines from your own recent cases, so any later benefit is measured against something real.
Controls and approvals
Where human approval, escalation and exception handling must sit, and which controls are needed before production.
The target workflow
A target state workflow and architecture, including where AI, automation or integration would fit, and where they would not.
A costed next step
A prioritized production roadmap and a success scorecard, so the next decision has a scope, a cost and a measure.
A recommendation
A readiness determination and a recommended decision, walked through with your leadership at the readout.
Three possible decisions
Every review ends with a decision. Each of the three is a good outcome when the evidence supports it.
Advance
The workflow is ready for a scoped production pilot. You get the boundary, owners, controls and measures the pilot needs. The pilot is scoped and priced separately.
In practiceNothing is blocked and every remaining gap has an owner. You get a pilot boundary that has passed our Pilot Readiness Gate: users, systems, approval matrix, thresholds, evidence record and rollback.
Resolve first
Something material stands in the way, often data access, ownership or a missing control. You get each gap with an owner, and what must be true before you advance.
In practiceThe AI step is close, but something upstream holds it back, usually data quality or access. You get each fix with an owner, effort and date, and a plan to test again on fresh cases before any pilot is proposed.
Stop
The case is not there yet, or the risk outweighs the value. You keep the baseline, the map and the findings, and you do not fund a pilot that would have failed.
In practiceA fair test showed the AI step will not meet your thresholds, or your contracts or regulations rule out the processing it needs.
We do not guarantee production approval. After the review you decide, and any further work is scoped, approved and contracted separately.
Weekly cadence, written scope, a decision at the end
You provide an executive sponsor who makes the decisions, a day to day owner, and time with the people who do the work. We report every week on status, blockers and next milestones. A scope change is logged, reviewed within 48 hours with its effect on cost, timeline and risk, and goes ahead only with written approval.
A free 30 minute call. If the fit is there, a written proposal with scope, timeline, deliverables and a fixed fee.
Interviews with the sponsor, the workflow owner and the people who do the work. We walk recent closed cases end to end and mark every system, handoff and wait.
A baseline on your own cases: cycle time, effort, rework and exceptions. Where the data behind each decision lives, whether it can be reached, and which controls apply.
A target workflow tested with the people who would run it, a costed next step, and an executive readout that ends in a decision.
How your data is handled
The specifics are written into the engagement documents before any data moves.
Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through this page or in a general email. If the review needs it, the agreement and the transfer arrangement come first.
- Least privilege. We reach only what the scope requires, through named accounts, with role based access and MFA where supported.
- Read only during the review. Nothing is written to a production system.
- Your IT owner and workflow owner sign the access boundary before any data moves.
- Processing stays in your own environment, or one you approve. No public AI tools, and no model training on your data.
- We sign NDAs and follow your access logging and retention rules. Samples are returned or securely deleted within 30 days of final acceptance.
- Restricted material (export controlled drawings, privileged files, personal financial data) stays out unless your approved environment covers it.

Book a Workflow Fit Call
A free 30 minute conversation about one workflow: the problem, the systems involved, your constraints and who owns the decision. At the end we tell you plainly whether a paid review is the right next step.
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm Eastern. One Vertical Tier, Inc., Columbus, Ohio.
Worth bringing
- A short description of the problem and the result you want
- The systems and tools involved
- Known constraints, such as timeline, compliance and a rough budget band
- The key stakeholders, including who owns the decision
